Mother's Day

It is a day of complexities beyond
our own understanding
Leaders of men
Leading us to demise all while
they hide behind smiles and gestures of hope...
Always the media deceiving
There's always a man behind deceit
simply because human nature can't tolerate
defeat...
We are the cause of this turmoil
that with each day we toil
and as it has been written before
there is nothing new under the sun....
Yet we feel hope in words
of a Changed America to come with our support....
Leaders of men
without integrity
without honesty
without vision for that which is good and true...
All this heavy hearted banter
distracts from the purpose of this verse....

To My Wife,
Her name is of my dearest found hope and dream come true
in spite of all the chaos that surrounds us
she is support and peace
she is strength and truth of life
she is the heart that beats within me
and the love that a soul was made for...
It is Mother's Day for my beloved
a day set aside to celebrate her splendor
and loveliness
Every day I am thankful for her sharing her
life in mine,
yet on this day I am humbled again...
Beauty has often been measured by that
which is in nature and grand to behold
this bride of mine
mi esposa
can be compared to nothing
she is as God intended
and pure in every way that I care for...
Behind me, her hand lifts me
Before me, her presence enlightens me
With me, she is everything a breath could sustain.
So it goes, in stories of old and those of woes
we've all read and heard of love at first sight
and to our delight forgot about reality for
that moment...
So it goes, in spite of these woes I reside in
the clouds with my lovely and dearest...
Happy Mother's Day

Now, Tomorrow, and Forever
