A Stripper's Life
Every night she set's
And stares at herself
In the mirror
Shame masked behind
Her soft velvet hazel
Eyes
Duty bound to provide
For those that who are
Dependent upon her
With music playing, body
Swaying taking the stage
With he confidence of a
Monarch just crowned
Her mind floats away to
It's safe haven, away from
The leers and sneers
Feeling of being at their
Mercy as each piece of
Clothing takes its place
Beside her on the stage
Performing she wraps
Herself in her truth as
She thinks of her
Children
