The exchange
The exchange
came as no surprise
with no effort
or need for change
the words fell
with comfort
on soft unsoiled
thought
heard for the first
time..
I had not known
her wonder in such
a way as had been
Falling again into
what I let go of
The memory seemed
as a dream
and would seem
forgotten..
Then as if to not
miss a beat
what was before us
a path that we had
known somehow..
"In another life"
shared in innocence
I believe not in
other lives existing
before what I am today.
It is here, it is now
and it doesn't have
to be short
wait on time to
reveal a destiny
dreamt of
It may not be at first
sight.
could be in truth
feeling just
right.
I would sound a fool
to say I know
the future of my steps
As if to be wise beyond
what is reality.
I would be wise to
not lay in wait
show no haste in matters
such as this
give no hope to time
or to those sublime
Integrity passion respect
gifted for you
should there be
a hope in something new.
So, here we are again
natural as it may be
still no way to know
if it is your beautiful face
every day I will see
first thing.
