borrowed time
my will power has failed often,
to keep its muscles strong,
from the cradle to the coffin,
i must attempt to carry on,
with some form of dignity,
knowing right from wrong;
to bask in solemn misery,
in the trap of my addictions,
to envision what i want to see;
not the cause of my affliction.
