Hello and welcome.
I think I have spent my life trying to figure "me" out, trying to accept myself as I am without having to be who I thought others wanted me to be. Does this make sense?
Writing poetry has been a way for me to look at myself and by recording some of the words and feelings that eek their way from my darkest depths, I am able to come to better understanding of this woman I have become... perhaps always have been.
Of course, I have done tons of self-help readings and have taken many "healing" workshops. There's something about the writing, though, that goes to a different level. It is something that I can do myself, my own journey and it is that inner work that allows the soul to fly. |
