A Soldiers Verse      108439 Poems Read.
Updated March 2015

G'day. Thank you for viewing my site. I hope you can find something of value here somewhere.
A little about me:
I'm from Australia. I call no particular town home. They say home is where the heart is and my heart has been captured by an amazing woman who has been my light in the darkness.

I'm also a Medic in the Army. Despite the criticism that is placed on soldiers in this country I am very proud of what I do and even prouder to put my uniform on every day.

I love my job.

Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with PTSD and depression due to my job. So soon I will be taking a career change to aid not just in my treatment and recovery, but to also alleviate the stressors in my life that contribute to my condition.

Every body knows a writer needs inspiration if there is to be meaning in anything they write about. Fortunately it comes in many shapes and sizes and right now I have an amazing mentor in a very well established Australian author. Thanks Tony, I have been learning a lot.
Also, the previously mentioned amazing woman who has me quite smitten has my inspiration running wild and free!

The poetry that you read on this site is all my own experiences and thoughts. There is one dedicatory poem amongst them. I put that there for my good mate, Aaron, who taught me that no matter what any one thinks, I am me because I am.
I am also writing a few short stories using my poetry as the inspiration for these. The first one has been put on this sight. "Forgotten Tragedy."

Take a look and let me know what you think.
If you have any questions about anything on this site or just in general please feel free to drop me a line. You can either leave feed back or sign the guest book.

Thank you once again for taking the time to view my work.

Cheers.

Heath.
