Joy Around The Table**

The table holds the feast of the day,
whatever the occasion it's offering portrays.
Daily meal, family reunion, or simple tea,
it draws its members, whoever they may be.

Simple fashion or ornate design,
around which weary souls recline,
bodies nourished with food so fine,
hearts and souls with wholeness divine.

Bringing together those who will come,
with open places for absent ones,
increasing the numbers as time goes by,
welcoming new comers with a glad cry.

Listen for the call that the table has been set,
don't let your presence be unmet.
There will be joy around this table divine,
for the biggest feast of all eternity's design.

Revelation 3: 20  "Here I am! I stand at the door
and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the
door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with
me."
