Tail of Two Dragons

The eastern one is mired in
smoke and industrial soot,

The other spangled with luster
with its digits under foot...

For having its claws in everything
(you know what I'm talking about),

It boils down to neither one can
take the lead by example, no doubt.

Getting caught in the contenders
lair where it is certain not to win,

Begs the antiquated question: where
have all the dragon slayers been?

I say, "bring on the gladiators"!
