Labor Day

we labor at getting ahead in life;
we labor to get out of debt; and,
we labor at war. At times I really
don't know or understand what
it is exactly we are fighting for.

religions when mixed with politics
is much like infusing oil into water,
one will eventually float to the top
as they disjoin from one another.

six days of labor is the end of creation
until "His day of rest". I wonder if we
are advancing to the beginning of the
end,...or...are we merely a continual
work in progress?
