So Easy a Therapist Can Do It
I told her I had misgivings about consulting
a woman seeings I don't trust 'em a darn bit.
She said, "it's good that you are facing your
fears now at the outset... please make yourself
comfortable. You may lie down on the couch ...
or sit."
She was already offering me choices which
reminded me of the "either/ors" of married life
like, "do I look fat in this dress,...or, is that
liquor I smell on your breath?"
I told her I would stand if she didn't mind. I
wasn't planning to stick around anyway for
any given length of time - mostly because I had
more important things on my mind...
like trimming the weeds and mowing the grass,
and working at other meaningful things which
never last. What could I say? ... "just sign my
papers doc...and I'll be on my way."
