Holidays - Holy Days** I followed you in a hap-hazard way,
accepting you on chosen days,
those we've come to call "holidays",
seldom seeing them as "Holy Days".
The voyage I began with my King,
would take many years to bring,
me to where I needed to be,
completely dedicated to Thee.
Weekly attendance learned from birth,
proper training proved my worth.
The passing of years turns one around,
and I began to doubt the truths I had found.
For several years I walked another way,
until you found me on that glorious day.
Many years there still would be,
before your living word would enter me.
Though often I would think you had gone,
I learned that could be nothing but wrong.
It was I who had stubbornly left your grace,
and ashamed could not look upon your face.
Now I talk to you without shame or fear,
confident in your sacrifice of bitter tears,
Waiting for life to tell me it's finally done,
while being your servant, prize enough won.

Deuteronomy 10:12 "And now, O Israel,
what does the Lord your God ask of you
but to fear the Lord your God, to walk
in all His ways, to love Him, to serve
the Lord Your God with all your heart
and with all your soul."
