Bitter Sweet

As you lie there and sleep
Oblivious to all that rages
Around you

I set in the shadows and
Watch as if I were your
Guardian

Defending you in your
Weakest and most desperate
Hours

There for you even when I
Knew what had been spoken
Was not but the truth

One look to your side you'd
Find me even though your
Actions where treacherous
And deceitful

Why? Because I love you thus I
Will defend you till my bitter
Sweet end
