Corporate Hell

It is known that life is empty
For those who set behind their
Desk late into the night instead
Of crowded bars with friends or
home with beloved ones

Passing away time staring off
Into a computer screen, forever
Burning the midnight oil

As the lamps burn bright on those
Dreary nights many wish their
Futures were as luminescence

Most have placed themselves upon
Solitaire shelves doomed to forever
Be viewers' never the doers

In time it will register that life has
Overlooked them and passed by with
Each punch of the notorious time
Clock

The gravity of their own self
Confinement has kept them out
Of the human rat race and in a
life long corporate hell
