4. ANOTHER STATISTIC FOR THE CHALK TO OUTLINE

This track is an upbeat, rock out track, though the subject is incredibly fucked up. This death involves me being cutdown by a stray bullet in a gang war. It's satirical commentary against black stereotypes and being a statistic.

4: ANOTHER STATISTIC FOR THE CHALK TO LINE

A one, a two,

a one, two, three

GO!

Verse 1:

Another body cut down

Another mother breaks down

Another welfare baby left without a father again

Another senseless victim

Another criticism

Another motherfucker preaching politics to convince

Bridge:

A new excuse--

For the same old

Plain old common truth

Chorus:

We're all statistics of a popular census

We're all just digits being added

To the count

We all are destined to end up in the trenches

We are enslaved to our devices

There's no way out

Verse 2:

So now that things are hopeless

Our hands are where the dope is

We hand them rope to choke the project buildings with

The pigs, they oink in splendor

At how we all will end up

There's never gonna be a chance to ascertain

Bridge:

 We call it truth--

It's Aunt Jemima's

Cotton noose

Chorus x1

Breakdown:

And though the flags themselves are colored

We drape them on as masks

To mask ourselves from one another

Another use is flags

To mark the territory

Never had a Forty Acres claimed---

I GUESS ME AND THE MULE'S THE SAME!!

YOU TELL ME!!

(Guitar Solo)

Spoken Word Solo:

To those who made it out

They don't ever return

And if they do

They'll soon learn

No matter how many doctorates you're out to get

They're out to get you

Your dreams are their schemes

And they won't let you follow it

We're all rappers

Basketball players

Inmates

Or prostitutes

At one point or another

Either dealing or the dealt

Becoming used to falling...

DOWN!!!!

Verse 3:

Another tree adorned with

Another picture for this

Young brother who was caught in the wrong place, but right time

Another memorial

Another news story but

The same results, 'cause there will never be a mind

Bridge:

Who's brave--

Enough

To change this

Chrous x4

(To be sung with the Chorus in the background, after the Chorus has been sung twice):

Another statistic

A brother who gives in

A mother with reddened eyes....

Another statistic

A brother who gives in

A mother afraid to cry...
