Past, Present, and the Future

We live in the past
Ignore the present
And look to the future

I always pondered if any-
One had ever perceived
How it is that by ignoring
The present, when with
Every second which passes?
Those seconds become the
Past

Yet all the while living in
The past, when with the
Day's sunrise, it is now the
The present, in retro that
Makes the present the future

To live every second of every
Day means to not live in the
Past

If only we could say I have no
Past, I live for the here and now
As if there were no such conceived
Notion as a future
