Sacrifices

You will never know the
Sacrifices I made for you

You left me with my tattered
Heart in hand

Life felt so unimportant
I felt so unimportant
When you left me
Standing there

I wanted nothing but to be
Left to my own designs yet
You made me want you more

Along you came with blissful
Promises and deceitful lies
Filling your angel eyes.

Once again I'm battered and
Broken by the one who said
He would always love me

With honey filled words you
Came, on razors edge you left
Without so much as an
Explanation

I no longer despise you
I pity the fool who
Lives in you

It's not I who lost,
But you

G. Williams
