Grandpa

It's been so long it's hard to remember exactly how.
I'll never understand why it had to be you that he called
upon that lovely warm spring day.
I'm not ashamed to say that for all these many year's
I just thought you moved away.
If only I could remember how you taught me to kneel and pray.
I would ask what I like to say is your friend upstairs
to please take me now if in fact he is real.
Cause Grandpa, I was finally able to admitted to myself,
that on that particular spring day you were laid down for
your eternal rest.
Grandpa I'm so scared, I've not been such a nice girl since that day.
And I so want to see you again on what I've
been told will be my judgment day.
So if heaven is real and you're there please say me one of
those special Grandpa prayer's.
