Destiny

You came to me for
oh so many years
within my deepest
dreams.

Yet as I lay here
in your arms and
gaze upon you in
your slumber.

I fearfully close my
eyes, praying that
this not yet another
tormented nightmare
I must suffer.

Slowly as the sun meets
the horizon, I lift my
gaze to find you peacefully
sleeping.

Fate has brought you to me
but it seems as thought destiny
has left it up to me for your
keeping.
