Pre-election Opinions

Obama sounds too much like Usama,
And myself leaning into a poetic slant,
It would merely be a constant reminder,
Of Ben Laden. (...and who says it can't?)

Hillary may carry  some excess baggage,
As she leaps forward to the political front,
It's just the thought of our x-president, Bill,
Doling out slices of pie and pouring punch,

It's much like a merry-go-round, as always,
They're all neck-to-neck for the next election,
Hinges on the starting gates don't need oil,
                    (or do they?)
As each candidate strives for perfection.

It's kind of sad that this crap continues on,
During my little slice-of- life on this earth;
To have to put up with all the insincerities,
As they look for nests to give political birth,

Those who are not trying to get us out of war,
Are trying to get us in, ...so what is the use?
It seems that every time we turn around,
The knot tightens up on the proverbial noose.

Well, ... I don't think I will vote for these two,
They don't quite fill the bill or cater to my art,
And they don't  impress me like they need to,
Our political philosophies are miles apart.
