The Dead Zone

she was wanting when she loved the stranger,
some say he was the first one to come along,
his temporary arms removed all of the danger,

abandoned were her thoughts of being strong,
her weary head rested peacefully on his side,
she needed a spark of hope in life to carry on,

her torrid soul laid naked with no place to hide,
the unfulfilled visions of life slowly faded away,
not abandoned were her thoughts of suicide,

she was found dead yesterday.
