Ordinary Pets

my pets are not extraordinary pets,
like spiders, snakes and frogs,
but, they are the kind you will never forget,

my puppy is not an extraordinary dog,
because he still likes to chase the cats,
his playful mind is always in a fog,

at times he tries to speak... imagine that!
he is nothing like my talking bird,
a bi-lingual parrot as a matter of fact,

he thinks that dogs and cats are absurd,
no, my pets are not extraordinary pets,
but, they are the kind you will never forget,

if they were yours.
