Stumbling

i stumbled across your picture today,
when you were young, ripe and sexy,
it brought back memories of yesterday,

we laughed, we cried, we played hard,
we didn't fail, simply because we tried;
the love we yearned for seemed very far,

when perhaps it was at our fingertips,
but waned from of our hearts desire,
with our souls on fire, we let it slip...
