To Cherish the Simple Things

We should cherish each moment as they come, in life,
instead of always wishing or longing for something
better...or, something new.

Wanting can take a toll on your mind, if you let her,
In a way in which you don't want her to. The simple
things in life should never be misconstrued.

What if we are judged, not of the things we have done,
or failed to do, but of the way we handled whatever
it is we were sent here to do.

There are rhymes and reasons for everything under
the sun. The heavenly aroma of a rose amidst a
clutch of needle sharp thorns is but only one.

Yet, for beauty's sake we take the chance that we may
prick our fingers as we lean toward the fragrant smell.
This is Simplicity, in all her Glory,  as far as I can tell.
