Go Pee Pee Boo Boo

In the late evenings sometimes,
When the crickets are chirping,
And tree frogs are crying for rain,
When the old man in the moon has waned,
Outside is a silhouette of my dog and me,
Moments before hitting the sack once again,

If you cup your ears and listen closely,
You will most likely hear me say,
From at least a fair distance away,
A nightly command turned into routine,
"Go Pee Pee Boo Boo, over there o.k.?
"And please try not to make a scene,"

I know my canine companion hates me,
For giving him that sissy nickname,
But it's a classic night time homage for us,
Which we'll continue to do just the same,
It began about eight hot summers ago,
He was busted trying to pee in the commode.
