Love and God's Sunshine
What if God sends us the winter snow,
The summer rains and the morning dew,
In exchange for a shower of human emotions,
The kind that defies gravity and falls,
Up to Heaven far from our mortal view,
What if:
Happiness is God's sunshine,
Sadness may be His rain,
Anger is like a thunderstorm,
And Love is love just the same,
There's no substitute for love,
A feeling that's one of a kind,
Going back and forth from Heaven,
Playing gently on our minds,
Love is not a friend of jealousy,
True love is the opposite of hate,
Hate is a kind of leprosy,
That predetermines our fate.
So, give it freely to your neighbors,
Give Love a chance with romance,
We can bask in God's sunshine forever,
By giving Love here on earth a chance.
