Lost Soul, Not Found

You're more beautiful than I could have imagined,
I was speechless when I first held you.
Almost as if your very presence was enough,
To steel the thought from my leaping heart.

However there is something still amiss,
Unlike my love for you.
Something I do not want to admit,
Yet I would be betraying you if I never told you.

It's some kind of emptiness,
Of it's cause I'm not sure.
And to be quite honest with you,
I was hoping you might be the cure.

Yet it turns out that it is not so,
Even though my feelings for you shall continue.
Yet I must continue my everlasting search,
For my lost soul, not found.
