Confessing Your Sins to God ( Those thoughts, words & behaviors you don't feel good about) Seven deadly sins list & meanings Lust Gluttony Greed Sloth Wrath Envy Pride (https://www.bibleinfo.com/en/questions/what-are-seven-deadly-sins) .Nothing formal .Speak to Him like your friend .Own your emotions so if you're angry, confused, awkward, scared-feel it! .He will understand why you feel those emotions and will meet you where you are. .If you don't want to wing it-write it. .If you stumble, He will catch you where you stand. .It's totally okay to yell, scream, cry But using foul language towards God Himself is a definite, NO! Nothing wrong with being so caught up that a word...or two fly out about your feelings and situations. 2. Confess That Jesus the Christ/The Messiah/The Savior/Yeshua is the Son of God/The Most High God/Jehovah/Yahweh. 3. Believing in and Following God's Word, Laws, Statutes and Commandments (to the 'Best' of your ability). NO Human Being has or will keep them all, this is why Christ was sacrificed. For His Blood and Broken Body represents the Price for Our Eternal Life, not Natural. Those who love their natural lives on Earth so much that they'd do any and every thing to keep it, will lose their souls Eternally. Think about it. 4. Repent when you sin. To Repent is to Confess sinful behaviors, according to God's Word,Laws, Commandments & Statues. The trick here is to confess a sin you have NO intention of ever committing again. It might take some time to even get to that point. You don't stop craving for your sin of choice immediately. The keywords here are "NO intention." Sometimes, it will only be a one-time offense. However, there might be repeat offenses despite your remorse over it. No, this doesn't mean you're a bad person. What it does mean is you're a work in progress and God Will Deliver You from it, just ask! **Bonus** Did you know that our dreams are mostly real? Yes, God sometimes uses our dreams to get a message through. Unfortunately, the enemy does the same thing to get us to sin, even while sleep! I know I just said something that doesn't make sense to you but keep reading. Below are several verses that expands on these ideas: Job 33:14-17 14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. I know this sounds weird so I'll let Minister Kevin L A Ewing explain it all to you if interested: https://youtu.be/b5ITqCvigPk Having Christ be Lord over your life will change your soul(life), which will allow you to defeat the God of this world, Satan. This is a choice you have to make everyday. Don't worry, God's Grace and Mercy will get you through the rough times! Understand, Lucifer once dwelled in Heaven and his position placed him very close to God Himself. In fact, below are Verses expanding on this: Ezekiel 12-19: God Instructs Ezekiel to Adress the Spirit Controlling the King of Tyre, Satan: (12) "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. (13) You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. (14) You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. (15) You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. (16) Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. (17) Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. (18) By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. (19) All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.'" And if you're already forgetting what you read, please remember to Bookmark this post...just in case! God Bless, P.A. Why Did God Save Them & Not Me? This is THE question so many of you out there have asked and/or probably still asking yourself through your self-hate, pain, anger, confusion and hidden shame. Before I go any further, I want to say, "I'm Sorry!" I'm sorry that you were ever hurt, no matter who you are or where you're from. I know I'm a complete stranger to you and my apology holds zero weight. I know you'd rather hear it from the one(s) who offended you in the first place, I get it. But it's a starting place for Healing today and not 30 years from now. Though we deserve that apology we've all prayed for, most of us won't get it. So we must find a healthy way to deal with our wounds by moving forward! My goal today is to help you deal with that pain and to re-assign that shame to the one(s) who caused it. As the saying goes, "Hurt People, hurt people." During your journey of healing, you will discover the gift of Forgiveness-for yourself and for them. Let's STOP this dysfunctional cycle by understanding where we are and how to rise above it. Let me say this to, the more challenging your life, the Higher your Spiritual Calling. I know that statement makes no sense now but it will the more You seek God the Father. This is Not for the weak-willed or hearted. It takes an Overcomer who's intimately close with adversity. It takes the right perspective to have it work for you. There's no better way for healing other than seeking out the recipe in God's Word, The Holy Bible. Below are 3 Verses that explains: (1) Satan's characteristics and purpose on Earth. (2) Helpful characteristics we must have to overcome him. (3) Lastly, Christ Himself explains His purpose here on Earth. 1 Peter 5:8-9 Kings James Version (8)Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (9)Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. John 10:10 Kings James Version The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (Christ is speaking here and is refers to Satan as the thief.) Though you might feel alone, you are not. I've had my share of hurts, pains, messes and miseries. Thankfully, God has turned my messes into messages like this one. For those of you who aren't familiar with my story and are interested, feel free to Google: Daboetry and/or Poetikaly Anointed. This post is NOT about Me but You, so it will be link-free. A person's life can and will dictate what they see, think, say & do. Sometimes it's a good thing but most often, it's a bad thing. If said person has no one to counteract those bad elements, a chance for a positive change is extremely slim but possible! Unfortunately, the same can be said about the 'good life' but that's another message. I said all that to say that our perspectives in life can make or break open opportunities for a better understanding of the question at hand. More importantly, our perspectives can make or break open opportunities for a better understanding of God Himself. In order to check in and see where your perspectives lie, I would suggest comparing it with God's Word. The Holy Bible will lead you on a path to discover Who/What The Most High God is and His Plans for Humanity. If you stay the course, you will also discover yourself and how He sees You! Below are relevant verses about God's plans for Humanity: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Proverbs 19:21 Many plans are in a man's heart, But the counsel of the Lord will stand. Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God~s-Plan) The above verses tell us that God ONLY has Good 'plans' for us. However, He will sometimes work through us by 'allowing' bad things to happen in our lives to accomplish those plans. This concept is where Most people fall off and that's understandably human. We're so used to self-gratification and having everything quick, easy and our way. The Truth is, this Life is NOT for everybody for those exact reasons. In order for one to walk this path, you have to give up control over your life to Christ, to give God the Worship, Honor and Praise. Too many people looking to exalt themselves and Not Jehovah. The Holy Bible is written in such a way that Only those who Truly Love God with all their mind, heart, soul will have the right foundation to understand it. Those who are wise within themselves need to humbled to understand they know nothing. Those who are like children and have a thirst to connect with the Father through Christ, will be exalted because of their humility. In layman's terms, the eager student will be rewarded with great knowledge and wisdom, opposed to the student who thinks they already know as much as the teacher. You have to be taught before you can teach anything. In order to understand spiritual concepts, you Must think, speak, hear, do and see spiritual things. In order to accomplish this, you Must deny your fleshly desires or 'die' to the flesh. (In layman's terms: Not over-indulging in money, sex, power, greed, food, status etc.). In order to do that, you Must give your life to Christ and be baptized/'be born again.' This spiritual concept means transformation from the 'old' you into a 'new' you. The 'new' you will no longer be bound to sinful behaviors (feeding the flesh) but will overcome them instead. You Won't be sinless but will sin-less as you grow in the Faith. You will have this ability with the help of the Holy Spirit/The Comforter. The Holy Spirit is also known as The Spirit of Truth. It will guide you out of trouble, give counsel, reveal insight and foresight by dwelling inside you. This is the part where self-examination takes place. Below are several questions to ponder on in your leisure time. (1) What type of life do you lead and is there room for improvement? (2) How do you treat yourself compared to others? (A) Do you treat others the same as you do yourself? (B) Do you treat others better than yo do yourself? (C) Do you treat others worse than you do yourself? (3) What type of thoughts run through your mind during the day-time? (A) What about night-time? (4) Are there any thoughts that lead to a behavior? If so: (A) What type of thoughts? (B) What type of behaviors? (5) What type of emotions do you express/experience while participating in these behaviors? (A) What about after? (B) Do you like expressing/experiencing these emotions? (C) Do you want to change this? CONGRATULATIONS, IF you actually took your shot and attempted to answer these questions! If you answered 'No' to part (B) and 'Yes' to part (C) of Question 5, this is the Post for you. Don't be embarrassed by your answers, that's why you're here. We've all done things in which we needed saving. ***Now, Your Real Journey begins with: Understanding God's not looking for perfection in you.
