Absolute Ineptitude
Everyone, it seems, was engaged
before Katrina struck New Orleans;
the president; the governor; the
mayor. They, nevertheless,
as we, the citizens of this city,
were caught unaware.
Unaware that the Devil can puff
harder than the big bad wolf which
only destroyed a couple shacks. No,
no, no. His puff destroyed all the
Crescent City for goodness
sakes!
Well, maybe not for "goodness"
sakes, or for any sake as far as it
goes. Evil, I think, loves to keep
us all on our toes. Goodness sees
what Evil does...and She knows.
She knows that mistakes made are
lessons learned. Even though the
City of New Orleans slumbers
amidst the ruins, She will come back
to all Her magnificent glory. That is
a fact! End of story.
There will be more to gain with the
Devil's lost the next time He comes
around, blowing His whistle, trying
to knock humanity down. Next time
we'll know, under our own volition,
to flee to higher ground.
