Black Panther/The Lion King

Hello Family,

It pains me to write this but I must. As much as these two films are beloved, especially in the "Black" community, we must not try contacting our Ancestors like they have. Both films have that element in it and that's witchcraft.

Don't get it twisted, I LOVED seeing that many of people who "look" like me. But are they really of me? There are tons of peoples/races with similar skin complexions.

We must understand that those who are famous are NOT like those who are not. They abide by a different system than we do. So even though having tv shows/movies like: Power, Black-ish, Haves and Have Nots, Black Panther, The Lion King, and others don't mean they exist to exalt us. We get so excited to see the Angela Bassetts, Tyler Perrys, James Earl Jones, Eddie Murphys, Terrance Howard and Tarajis that we dont take the time to really grasp the message.

I'm sorry but I have to say this. I'm extremely dissapointed in Tyler Perry. I know there are elements that we aren't privy to but the content on Sistas, Have and Have Nots and If Loving You is Wrong are far.....far cries from The House of Paynes, Diary of a Mad..or those stage plays. I feel like he sold out long ago and done bit off more than he can chew. I feel like he is under a lot of pressure to put/ keep people of color employed so he compromised his ethics to get his work out there. God forbid the name Jesus Christ is allowed on tv...in a non-mocking way!  I pray for him to find his way. I know that business aint nice, especially when it comes to the people his work is targeting. A decent family can't even sit and watch a decent BET movie w/o sex and violence. Shows that target the black community are NOT and have no intention to empower us. Neither does these awful slave movies. STOP investing in MASSA!!!

As much as I loved my Grandparents, you won't see me calling upon their spirits in anyway to gain power or guidance. The dead DON'T talk or appear to you for some meaningful "aha" moment. They don't communicate to the living in anyway like that.

Movies like Ghost are perfect examples of what I'm talking about. They romanticize the heck out of the plot and we eat it up! Do spirits exist, yes! There are good spirits (Angels) and bad spirits (demons).

In a situation like Ghost, I'd rebuke the thing till it left! Our loved ones stay with us through our memories and the love shared.

During times like these, we really need to turn to Christ and keep our eyes on Jehovah. Aint NO ancestral spirit gonna come to you in your time of need-that's a straight demon. Ask The Most High God for guidance.

Also, NEVER compromise your ethics to save a life. Don't bow down to the enemy and do evil things in exchange for your life or someone else's because you end up really choosing "death" spiritually. Scripture says the ones who try to save their life will lose it comes to mind. Basically, we got A LOT of weak-minded/weak-hearted folks out here that will throw their loved-ones/friends under the bus to save their own butts-not cool.

Nobody wants to suffer or sacrifice anything to do the right thing and for the right reasons. Staying out of Hell should not be my omly reason for doing good things because I won't be able to hang when it's time to carry that cross. I will eventually fall off because being comfortable on Earth is more important than suffering for Christ.

Hope some of this made sense. May God cover you and yours during this time. DON'T panic and let fear own you.
