Generational ConConsequences

We live in a "self-serving" society that has led us to live co-dependently upon technologies programmed to serve us. The more connected we become to said programmed devices,  the less connected we are to each other. For example: taking the lazy and easy way out of breaking up with someome by text... Really?

Tragically and strategically, we have now become another programmed device put on display. We're often dressed-up to entice eager patrons, without improving our qualities. The more demand for us, the less we are equipped to supply.

The scales of humanity are unbalanced and the screws are loosening. The seeds of the future are being planted upon the fault-lines of our past and present.

How we live today will affect how we will die tomorrow. Our choices have consequences and the next generations to come will reap the blessings or curses sown by us.

I hope this message will be received by someone out there. The intent was not to condemn or be preachy- hope I succeeded in at least one of those areas.

I was inspired to write this after readingn Scriptures about "The Great Divide of Israel." The story really starts in 1Kings 11 where God judged King Solomon for disobeying God's Laws. Solomon was a lover of foreign women and allowed said women to worship their gods, commiting idolatry. God prohibited Israel to intermarry with certain nations because of this  happening.

God then prophesied to Solomon that he would lose Israel. Due to God's love for David, He promised that Solomon would remain King until his death but his son would lose most of the Kingdom, setting aside one Tribe.

God raised up adversaries to come up against Solomon's son, Rehoboam. One in particular was Jeroboam, who was told of the prophecy in a surprising way. Anyway, God orchestrated a string of events that led to Israel being divided into two Kingdoms: Israel (North), Judah (South).

Understand, the moves made were MAJOR  generational consequences of Israel's continued disobedience of Jehovah's Laws. This is not what Jehovah wanted for His people.

As a direct descendant of the People mentioned above, I wondered why Judah/Benjamin was set apart for Jeroboam to keep. I am proud to acknowledge being a part of the Tribe of Judah so this topic resonates with me deeply. I read an Article below that discusses this very thing.
