Price That Was Paid 2000

Lord, how can I pay You for all that You've done
through the death and resurrection of Your only son?
How many prayers would I have to say,
to be worthy of the sacrifice of this day?

Lord, how many good deeds should I do,
before I can righteously stand before You?
How much compassion do I show to others,
who are the ones I call sisters and brothers.

Lord, though all of these are wonderful works,
none of it will gain me what heaven is worth.
Your death and resurrection is the price that was paid,
for my place in eternity its cost outweighed.

Revelation 21:6  He said to me: It is done.  I am the
Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To him
who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from
the spring of the water of Life."
