Black's Despair 2008 Black is the color of a starless night,
the absence of any kind of light.
Its depth can draw a soul within,
where it knows not where day or night begins.
Black is sometimes the color of a man's skin,
for a race of people where no one knows where
black begins.
An excuse to put one man above another,
never considering him a spiritual brother.
Black is the color of an abandoned soul,
that no longer seeks the Savior he use to know.
Choosing instead a different road,
where hopelessness is its only abode.
Amos 5:20 Will not the Day of the Lord be
darkness, and not light--pitch black at that,
without a ray of sunshine?
