Memories Are Drifting In Sand
[opening] Memories Are drifting.... Drifting.... Could she ever declare her love for you The way that I do .... [1st v:] No mistake No lie No denying it No one could ever profess Their love The way I have.... every detail confessed Everything In Every way Has proven my love is true A love that lives just for you And still you act As if it never existed And what have you done You keep face The one who truly deserves the honesty Would seriously.... be me Truth be known It was never love.... especially mine You needed What shines are the clear facts [1st ch:] Fame.... Glory of the phoniness In a few moments Revolve constantly ending the same Money and honey dipped lies Suit you so very well Its what.... you love What you want For yourself Love is best left To gather dust up On the shelf Memories for me.... Plenty in details Still warm and alive Memories for you.... Some dazed.... some created Many of misery Disguised so deeply in you Memories drifting in sand Let you know Cold empty heart fits with the one With the cold emotionless hand What may at times Tear at the soul And mine Is pushed away Ignored Left on its own Suits me Just fine Don't need Don't desire To live out a lie Like you To act as though All is wonderful and perfect So nice Nice as pie So deep in despair So desperate for attention So driven off the edge Can't even be honest Not even with yourself So beside what is true affection [2nd ch:] Fame....
