As the World Churns

Yanks still love to sip their early morning coffees,
and Brits proudly drink their mid-afternoon teas,
the Aussies don't say, "g'day mate" quite as often,
much like the French who don't like to ask "please",

The Russians have officially joined the army now;
the Czechs are unceasingly cleaning their guns;
the Chinese are obsessed at wanting to know how;
snipers on mountain tops shout "run rabbits run!",

It's the same odd bunch of crap - just a different day,
not much has changed over here since the days of old,
the Earth continues to spin-around in the same old way,
with no new directions and no peaceful places to go.

You'd think this world's a living hell. What can I say?
Our being here may be the price we've all got to pay.
