Can you fashion me some sons, O Lord, strong enough to know when they are weak, brave enough to face all of their fears, proud enough to be honest in defeat, who can defy the ways of ease and comfort, who can withstand the stresses in their lives, who can learn how to stand up in windy storms, who can love their kids and cherish their wives? Can you fashion me some sons, O Lord, who can feel empathy for those in need, who can show compassion for all who fail, who can learn the art of love in deed?
