Message Of The Cross**

He was not laid in a grassy field,
but in a dark tomb that had been sealed,
a stone barred the way on this sad day,
the disciples no hopeful word to say.

Mary finds the tomb – no body inside,
crying because she did not know where,
          He might now abide.
Two angels ask the reason for her tears,
then Jesus shows himself calming her fears.

Today His victory over death has been won,
yesterday God gave up His one and only Son.
Today we celebrate His resurrection as one,
His sacrifice and purpose has now begun.

He now abides in each and every soul,
that opens its heart and asks to know,
all the secrets that are now no more,
and the message of the cross that came before.

1 Corinthians 15:54  "When the perishable has
been clothed with the imperishable, and the
mortal with immortality, then the saying that
is written will come true: "Death has been
swallowed up in victory".
