If You Only Knew
[1st v:] What Of who Knows where Anything Can be Left only for the Heart....mind And soul To see Sometimes We may ask why So much Wanting To find The treasure Hidden behind The lock Reaching so deep inside To find The key Set your sails Along the ocean Floating away To never know Just where One might have Failed [1st ch:] If you only knew What you Believe You do Keep thinking That you may have lost A love That claimed to forever Hold you Now.... Wondering At what cost Sitting on the bed Stuffed doll....smiling....cute And lovable With eyes shining true Looking like The softer side Of you Give in Run on out Holding on.... Letting go Reading everything Hold on to the words To the one Who already knows Everything in your heart I already....long ago Quietly heard [2nd v:] Do you stay Or Do you go Only you control What you decide To know Lights are on Somebody.... Is home Standing in the crowded room Asking Why do you Feel so alone Standing by the sea The oceans air whispers The secrets You already know You know where your heart Wants To be One more time The music plays on Trying to piece together What falls Off line Reaching for the sky Warmed by the sun Stars shining true Better choose Left or right Yes or no Do you stay Or Do you go Say good-bye To what you know Only to realize what you knew Held so closely Is true And once again Is gone Now Nothing more You could ever say or do If you only knew [2nd ch:] If you only knew What you Believe You do Keep thinking That you may have lost A love That claimed to forever Hold you Now Wondering At what cost Sitting on the bed Stuffed doll smiling....cute And lovable With eyes shining true Looking like The softer side Of you Give in Run on out Holding on....
