TO BE LIKE DADDY

To be like Daddy, In his minds eye.

To drive a Truck, He constantly cried.

To be like Daddy, Abiding his time.

Most determine, No changing his mind.

To be like Daddy, He wanted most.

Being a Trucker, Coast to Coast.

To be like Daddy, Entering his fate.

A Trucker driving, The Interstate.

To be like Daddy, It's not bad.

My little Boy's, Just like his Dad.

COMMENTS:
{ To My Son Wyatt 12/28/06 - I had written a poem for my Husband Titled "Time Slips Away" in 1998. Needless to say my Son "Wyatt" started driving in 2000. "TO BE LIKE DADDY" he has been after me to write a poem for him, Thus came the title and contents of this Poem.}

Needless to say that although the Poem "To Be Like Daddy" has been a long time coming, it has passed my expectations in popularity, Read more about this Poem in the News section of my site.
