Like a derailed train,
a whispered song
or purple rain,
there's something wrong.

Like cult-following fame,
transparent fog
or a temporary stain,
there's something wrong.

Like nudges sent to serenade a loved one,
yhat touches them with your persistence as God is their witness,
there's something wrong.
