Hands Of Prayer**

A grandmother's hands
hold a new generation's treasure,
never dreaming it could hold
so much of life's pleasure.

A new mother herself
not so very long ago,
wondering in her heart where
the pleasures of time go.

Needing only to love this life so new,
having raised her own not few,
teaching all she ever knew,
of faith and glory anew.

Strength found in hands that now shake,
folding in prayers of thanks,
for the wonders life bestows,
on earth's simple creation below.

Willing them to bend a steadfast knee,
through the years that have yet to be,
knowing that faith is all they will need,
its essence written is His words decreed.

Romans 1:17  "For in the gospel a
righteousness from God is revealed,
a righteousness that is by faith from
first to last, just as it is written:
"The righteous will live by faith."
