Sails That Do Not Fail 05/05/2020

Lord, let me not forsake You,
as I have done in the past.
You have always sewn my soul,
wth the thread of Your Holy Words.

Every time You held me in Your hands,
I let myself slip through Your fingers,
like the sand along the shore,
like the waves You walked on for me.

I see Your outstretched hands,
that have pulled me from the waters,
and saved me from storm tossed seas,
where You set me back on dry land.

How many times have You rescued me, Lord?
How many times have You set me on the
right course?
How many times have I run from You,
without Your compass to find my way?

Send me another vessel, Lord,
not torn by this earth's gails.
Send me another vessel, Lord,
with sails that do not fail.

Isaiah 22:21-22
There the Lord will be our Mighty One.
It will be like a place of broad rivers and
streams. No galley with oars will ride them,
for the Lord is our judge,
           the Lord is our lawgiver,
           the Lord is our king,
it is He who will save us.
