Fathers 2003
The father is holding a squirming little girl, who wants to get down and run and twirl. He patiently plies her with toys and books, she still resists and soon has an unhappy look. Another father sits with four little ones intent, while all seems quite quiet, everyone content. I've seen him lead these little ones in songs of cheer, as refrains of "Jesus Loves Me" echo in my ears, watching him as he helped dry a little ones tears. There are "new" fathers now that carry the bundles, baby carriers, diaper bags, bottles and trundles. Their lives are forever changed and no longer their own, but part of this new life that has entered their home, filling it with love completing life's circle to never be alone. Psalm 103:13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who stand in awe of Him. Susan Hebert Ajaz copyrite 2003 poetrypublisher.com/sajaz
