Comforting Shelter 2018Lord, my soul was cracked and bleeding, I knew not what my heart was needing. My mind was broken, raw and sore, a mental pain screaming for more. More of what I could not surely understand, searching for answers through my life at hand, many times crashing on rocky shores, but still adrift in empty seas once more. I could not find You in the waves that tore, against the rocks that crushed as before a terror ran rampant within me that I would not find Thee. I had replaced You with earthly matters, leaving my faith in ruin and tatters, thinking my own strength and power better than Your Holy and Comforting Shelter. My hardened heart You found once more, truths to find You had in store that I not forget that Your love still shines with assurance of all our tomorrows defined. Psalms 61:4 Let me make my home in Your tent forever; let me hide under the shelter of Your wings. Susan Hebert Ajaz copyright 2018 poetrypublisher.com/sajaz |
