Drivers Prayer

Lord, thank You for the skill to drive,
that we might safely make our way,
not harming ourselves or others today.

Lord, let us not hurt another soul,
in glaring light or in dark of night,
grant us the gift of safety in Your sight.

Lord, let not carelessness find us we pray,
that we obey all traffic laws,
no reckless spirit to bring You pause.

Lord, let no rage travel with us,
that blind judgments not invade,
nor taunting insults be made.

Lord, help us to use this skill well,
though a mistake be unforeseen,
theirs or ours no bitterness between.

Lord, guide the miles we daily take,
that our paths we smoothly make,
and Your eternal message not forsake.

Psalm 89:15  “Blessed are those who have
learned to acclaim you, who walk in
the light of your presence, O Lord.
