Our Final Goal**Lord, you give us many mountains to climb, though our strength is often hard to find, poorly equipped with any climbing gear, surpassing each mountain from year or year. Help us while we are in the quiet valleys below, that we understand our final goal. Help us as we cling to each rock, that we not get tired of the upward walk. Be with us when a rock gives way, as we tumble down from day to day, with shaky hand and unsteady feet, help us not give in to defeat. Bring us to the mountain tops above, with the assurance of Thy divine love, knowing tomorrow we will climb again, reaching wherever Thy divine will sends. Psalms 90:2 "Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God." Susan Hebert Ajaz copyright 2000 poetrypublisher.com/sajaz |
