Amethyst!

One winter morning
When I lay sick in the dorm
Disgusted at my new form
I had little hope of being any strong
There came an Alchemist
With his magic Amethyst
This rock would make you walk
Get up Girl and don't balk!

O Monk!  What did thee give me?
I can't hold my own self
How would I hold a rock?
Keep it on your bedside
And gaze it through and through
The sojourn ….
Would be the Catalyst
For your eternal life…
This is the promise of the Alchemist
Here is your Amethyst…

And he was gone
Without any alarm
I lay dazed…amazed at the appearance
Dismayed at the disappearance…
What would I do of an amethyst?
When I need the doctor
To examine my wrist
With a lot of difficulty
I turned my sight…
I heard a voice within… go on look into my eyes
Do not seal them
For I would heal them….
The Pain would subside
Just believe the guide…

I gave in
Though the light was dim…
The Brilliant mauve
Had a Beautiful glow
The bow shaped rock was green below
I looked on perspiring…
The silent hope rising….

Left Alone with a stranger stone
I was trying to solve the maze
By holding my gaze…
What if it's another gimmick?
Of Gods Bag of tricks…
Have I not had enough of them…?
Beckoning shine had a hypnotic flow
I was beginning to move my toe…

Unaware of the motion
I lay unfazed …
Suddenly I wanted to sleep
There came the slumber Queen
Taking me away to dream…
My fortune was taking a twist
With this mystic Amethyst!

I slept from dawn to dusk
And a few days more!
Out from the deep when the life peeped
There it lay smiling … Oh! Good morning! …
It looked stunning Indeed!!!
I felt fresh and warm…
My eyes wandered through the dorm…
Not missing the anxiety of the walls…
As new serenity captivated them…
I wished to throw the syringe away
For the desire to binge was on its way!!!
Paula should be happy …
For my appetite would not be snappy
Didn't know if Amethyst could heal …
But I was glad I wanted to have my meal….

I really ate a great deal…making Paula Squeal
Baby that was hearty…I am indeed happy…
I have been waiting for this day …
But you always shoved of f my tray..
Paula went singing…
I lay thinking… did I do anything wrong
For I felt a little strong…
While I tried curling up on bed
Amethyst stood at its best
Inviting my inevitable quest…

It's just a stone…with a different tone..
Oh Alchemist why did you insist …on Amethyst
Your magic could have been on any stone you wished..
Diamond Ruby Opal or Pearl
Would you please enlighten the girl?

Stubborn silence gave me no choice..
I dropped my inquisitive inner   voice..
And looked on…Bless me with some Patience
And your mystery will unravel…
When my curious mind would travel… .
Every sediment of your being…
Just don't stop twinkling…

I dozed again for few hours…
Only to wake up to see the stars..
Curtains were gone…
Surprisingly I liked the breeze…
For I remembered the familiar tease..
Oh! I wanted to touch the flowers..
The moment was the bliss…
It reminded when life kissed...
How did it happen that it became forsaken?
How could I ruin…what was given!!!
I had to sip Life
Before my pulses dip
I will not give away my gift
I will not give up before I lift
My pace again …
I have to walk again!!!
I crawled I stumbled
I trembled and fell…
Not twice but thrice…
But I picked my being again and again
And moved on…
For Dear Amethyst just did this
It made me aware that I exist.
