The Mistake I Would Make
{1st v:] In less than 24 Hours I've trained my Heart and mind To erase all it retains It's all a matter in a short time { Bridge} I've thought too much I give too much I love too deep And I'm losing sleep I've hurt too long This is not Where I want to belong I've cried too many tears They've drowned me Through out the years The mistake now That I would make Would be believing in all I know.... never changed No need for a double take [1st ch:] Believe in lies I use to before Believing your lies I won't believe them Any Any more Believe that you care Waiting for that Got me Well.... it got me no where You never saw me You never knew me You took all that you could Looked right though me Never Never quite understood That the mistake I made Was believing You'd one day care for me The mistake I made Was believing You'd love me The mistake I would make Is not believing the truth Which is all there now For me to take [2nd v:] Now what I've realized Is that I lived my life Having heard too many Countless lies And what I have come to know Is that the love I planted Was never Never going to grow And if you cared You would've have known That you were never Never going to be there {Bridge} I've thought too much I give too much I love too deep And I'm losing sleep I've hurt too long This is not where I want to belong I've cried too many tears They've drowned me Through out the years It's what I gave Not what I got It was what I felt That would never be dealt Not a whole lot What was true in my heart I would never receive from you I would never feel That part [2nd ch:] Believe in lies I use to before Believing your lies I won't believe them Any Any more Believe that you care Waiting for you.... that Got me It got me nowhere You never saw me You never knew me You took all that you could Looked right through me Never You never.... I never Quiet understood That the mistake I made Was believing You'd care for me The mistake I made Was believing that you would You would some day.... love me The mistake I would make Is not believing the truth Which is all there now Its all there now For me to take Written: 6/27/2010 Inspired by ~ In the middle of my sleep it came to me, so I wrote it all down.... amazing how deep emotional pain from broken love can create the most fabulous lyrics/music.... the love may be old, but it never dies!
