Empty Knock

The light still flickers
Someone is home
You knock on the door
There is no answer
In the curtain you see a shudder
No one answers still
As your knuckles wrap against the door once more
Long awaited your knock
But you've mistaken
No one is home
You've waited too long
Curtains are still
Light has gone out
It's your fault
For you blew it out long befor you knocked
