Isn't It Enough

Sometimes
Enough time
Gives one just
What they really need
Time to gather
Their thoughts
To know what feels
Like too much
When it gets too rough
But then
You'll know when....
Enough
Is....enough
No more time needed to think
Because you just know
That traveled road
Is where you
No longer....want to go

When can you say anything
So someone understands
What does it take
What more can you say
It goes on and on
Sun up....sun down
Night through each and every day
Try to be nice
That's not working
Taking so much more
Then just one slice
Too painful
The road has gotten
Way too rough
Enough has become
Enough
When is
Enough....just that
Isn't it
Enough

Given so little
Taken so much
Feeling backed in to a corner
Sometimes
Feeling stuck
Right in the middle
Your intentions
Were never
Never pure
You proved that all too well
That's for sure
The game is over
Take your final bow
I'm not applauding
Just waiting to know
That no more turns....happen now
Showdown leaves just one
To walk away in to the sunset
Tomorrow is now clear
Because now
There won't be....no more bets
As rain begins to fall
Just left to hope
No more shadows
Ever again
Appear....appear
