Live To Learn, Learn To Live.

It is good to come home,
But just as the road is always at the door,
So too is the world outside.
And it is in the world that we have to live.

It is something that we yearn for from birth,
The outside world is where we want to belong,
Yet it is something that we grow up to learn,
It is in the world that we each learn to live.

Think of a child growing up in a villiage,
Not knowing anything of the outside world,
Of which he is destined to live.
Not knowing what awaits him... out there.

Only learning so much from his family,
And a little more from his friends.
The journey is his alone to take,
Fate it seems is in his own hands.

As he grows he learns the trials that life can bring,
He learns about triumph and happiness,
As well as sadness and loss.
As you cannot have one without the other.

When his time comes,
He will have children of his own.
Imparting on them the wisdom he was taught,
Along with his own that he had to learn.

They will learn to make their own choices,
And learn from their own mistakes.
For they are the only things that are truly our own,
Our choices of mistakes.

And so the cycle will continue,
From generation to generation.
Learning our choices from our parents,
And making our own mistakes.

We will continue to leave home and live,
And return home to remember.
Hoping that we will never forget,
What it is that we are living for.

Always remembering, however, that it is good to come home,
But, just as the road is always at the door,
So too is our world always outside.
And it is in our world,
That we have to learn to live.
